What is the impact of getting bad sleep or a lack of sleep on growth during puberty, how much of height is based off genetics and how much of an impact can your habits and diet have on your growth

It depends. It's not a black or white answer.

depends on how many growth genes you have the more genes the less impact but it still does impact although its not set
 
You need sleep, its when your body produces the most gh. While most of your future height is based off of genetics a good chunk of it is also based off of nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle.

Also to answer your question, the impact of not sleeping has impacted me personally. I was projected to be 6'3 but I stayed up all night playing da hood and was also 250 lbs for 2 years, so now I'm a manlet at 16.

Just don't eat slop. Get all of your micronutrients and avoid things that are widely considered to be unhealthy

Idk man eat well, sleep well, live well, and maybe pin hgh? I don't understand why you aren't retaining the info we are giving you

eat meat, a study I read showed that the more creatine (creatine isn't what makes you grow its to represent animal products since creatine is only found in animal products) within the diet the more taller the person grew. I warn you don't eat only meat however meat is good in your diet when trying to grow.

Oh I should prob tell you, but sleep is the only time you grow. If you had terrible sleep hygiene and your bones ossify it doesn't matter if you were predicted to be 6'2 you'd likely stunt your growth and be shorter than what was predicted. If you have bad sleep it doesn't matter if you eat well and exercise your getting to stunt your growth regardless. Sleep is very impactful for growth, you can say "genetics" matters most and yes it does but if you have consistent terrible sleep your genetics aren't saving you.
