In my natural mouth position my upper and lower teeth are around 3-4mm apart, but once I close them they align in a healthy way (aka there is no overbite/underbite).
I also have a recessed chin which I wish to fix with a genio, and it doesn't look recessed when I am clenching my teeth because I have a bit of excess skin which creates a mentalis strain that goes away when my chin is relaxed aka when my mouth is closed.
That being said, I feared that my recession wouldn't be visible on a CT scan as I would have to close my mouth there. I also feared that I may need bimax and that I can't really predict whether I need it or not because again, my mouth would be closed while taking a CT scan. Is this a common thing or am I an outlier?
