What is the reason why ethnics faces are so bloated despite their bodies being lean?

Like some ethnics can have bloated chipmunk cheeks and with a beard it makes it a lot worse. Usually they are shredded in terms of physique but the face doesn’t match the body.

Why so?

I thought brachy faces were cold adapted? Also black can only have long faces btw.
