Hey guys,

I’ve read different opinions regarding the optimal occlusal plane angle.

There are studies saying that in terms of smile aesthetics the optimal angle is around 15 degree. But I’ve noticed that a few aesthetic oriented surgeons try to bring it as close to 0 degree as possible.

What do you think?

Bro what do planes have to do with looksmaxxing??

Horizontal

-15 is very steep. My surgeon said -2 to -6 is optimal, I believe. I think he put me at -4, and I can see how closer to 0 could look weird, with the lower teeth being too high or showing too much.

My OP going to be -2.5 degrees since I’m getting a lot of CCWr. Would this be bad you’d said?

Pagnoni will give -4,94

30 degrees OP is ideal. Downward growth is masculine trait
