What should i tell my orthodontist?

I will be going to the orthodontist soon to get braces and fix 2 of my incisors which are protruding due to slight crowding what should i tell them and i dont want then to pull my shit back by pulling teeth and shit i am thinking of getting a palate expander then damon braces or normal ones how do I measure my palate and is what i am doing correct
(Also i have a class 2 malocclusion (deep over bite no overjet in any teeth but the incisors)

There are many types of expanders but i am 17 but i dont think my sutures are closed maybe a bit but can still be expanded with a mini screw assisted one and will it make me look weird like packman or no?
