What career path do you think is most successful or suitable for someone with my interests?

I’m wondering what to study in uni and what to do after and I kind of have to plan it out,

My interests are Business, Finance, Sports, Nutrition and Biochemistry (not in order)

If bp continues to stay mainstream the way it is biomed is a great option.

ai will surely take over millions of jobs, but a lot of jobs require human input. the medical sector is one good example

take this from a guy who profits from people losing their jobs to ai

you dont think this will affect you too as well as those whom have jobs upon of which require human input and are related to ai, then your in for a bad awakening. Agi which comes after ai will take over then your done too.
Its a race against time, evenually everyone will lose their jobs and it will be only the .1% ELITE vs 99.9% Jobless nonelites.
I sound crazy but you will see who the crazy person is in 30 years, unfortunately i want to agree with you but its not a realistic outlook for the future.

If youre willing to put the work in, Bio engineering, Obv any sort of surgeon or nursing thats not general/family medicine, and since you like nutrition and buisness, you could try starting up a nutrition company as well. You have to be intelligent and hardworking to make any money in this world.

nah I believe that it won't affect me as much, im an AI engineer. I make the systems that automate the jobs I see are too repetitive. This isn't something I studied for since it's not a degree kind of work. I just learned how to make the systems and I pitched myself.

No job is really safe and every job will be affected by this, but some jobs will survive. Trades (HVAC, Electricians, Plumbers etc), Jobs that are high high liability and high trust (Lawyers, Surgeons, Doctors) and roles that are centered on human relationships and trust (Diplomats, Therapists, Social Workers etc). These are some that are very likely to survive

What we can do as humans is A: Not choose an entry job that is very repetitive. B: Not stick to one thing only. Complementary skills. Technical + Human. If AI can do 80% of your job, you're the 20% that is still a key part of the operation.

Personally speaking im going the plane route but im investing ALL of my money into stocks of microsoft and apple, too big of companies to die and i need to outpace inflation as well as have a passive income profitable when ai takes my job hopefully in the very far future.

really valid opinion, what do you think about day jobs like cashiers, gas station workers or plumbers?

yeah that's a smart idea. make sure not to just invest in singular companies though and invest in index funds.

i understand your thought, but unfortunately i have a shitty tendency to be very selfish and want the most profit so i need to take a higher risk in order to gain higher returns.

cashiers are high risk to AI. we already see it today with self checkouts. Most retail workers are most likely gonna be working with maintenance (restocking and making sure the machines work)

Gas station workers are kinda the same situation. A bit safer since they also have to work with security, but still maintenance mostly.

Plumbers are very safe for AI. AI can help diagnose, but the plumbers are the advisors are they're also the ones doing the repairs and everything in that job.

yeah

jobs like plumbers that require labor are pretty safe in my opinion

there is at least a decade till AI robot’s become regular

Yeah AI won't switch labor in the next 30 years. Labor = robots = hardware and the advancement of hardware isn't as rapid as AI. AI is kind of the brain and those robots are the body. The mind is ahead of the body for now

Electricians also make a fuck ton of money compared to their degree difficulty and duration of studying. They're also more wanted than ever and they have a low entry to ownership (if you wanna open your own company). I recommend it heavy if you don't wanna sit and configure boring systems like I do :feelsbadman: I get paid a fuck ton for it so I don't care what I do tbh

I feel you man. we're all free birds constricted in our own chains, aka society.

remote jobs are lowkey getting fucked the hardest from AI and it's one of the jobs I personally have made a system on. shit will only work if you're high skill which AI can't replicate. software engineer for example
