What underwear on girls is best? String or hipster etc?? (With visual graph)

This is a thing I wondered about for a long time. Because I thought maybe it is strange but I like boy shorts or hipster (boy shorts is the name ig but it’s still for girls so it fits). However I noticed it seems like guys like strings usually. And actually also that’s what many girls wear, but why? They look a bit strange if you ask me. Like it’s so tiny, just a tiny piece of fabric, what’s the point? With hipster it’s nice because it’s tight and accentuates the body and leaves some room for the imagination. I added a picture because I didn’t know all the names of the styles. What do you think? Am I strange for this?
