what will a 4mm MARPE expansion do?

i am having getting MARPE in late February, although my orthodontist said the most he could probably expand my palate by would be 4mm, i do have quite the narrow palate so i am not sure what a 4mm expansion will do, will it be a noticeable difference in looks and my smile or will it be unnoticeable to others? what can i expect? also as i am 17 right now should i combine MARPE with a facemask or is that just money gone to waste?

What does marpe do? I have narrow upper palate

It can increase zygo projection well but rarely, depends on from what did you expand
Will make breathing easier

All orthodontists saying 3-4 MM are extremely conservative. They probably have AMAZING reviews too and know more expansion = more risks.

My current orthodontists has done plenty of MARPE cases, all of them RAPID protocol, NO facial changes at all for these niggas... IT was all 3-4 MM as well.

Remember they're running a business, and WANT to sell you shit. Push for more MM or walk away. 3-4 won't do jack shit aesthetically and would mildly improve functional issues.

I found that placement isn't as important as turning protocol. My current ortho has niggas doing 4 turns a day till split, then 2 a day after split. That's not enough time for bone remodeling... Compared to some MASPE nigga (bywthon) he has noticeable changes following a slow protocol.
