Whats the actual MSM dose

I've also heard many people say that they megadose at 24g (24000mg) daily to give them results

Which one is right because there's a big gap?
I might try it at 6g to start out and maybe ween myself lower if there are changes or up the doses if I don't see changes
Im thinking at least 4 months in the future to change it up
