What’s the best amount of carbs to maximise gym maxxing while minimising water retention and bloat in your face?

Title. Looking to minimise facial bloat to show off jaw line while having carbs to perform and maximise muscle growth. Are certain types of carbs less water retaining? How many grams of carbs per day?

Not really - although potatoes have high potassium so that could help with water retention… But then again people say starch causes water retention.

So can’t win really.

Right. How many grams of carbs a day would be best for this balance? Maybe 150g?

How long is a piece of string ?

Depends on height and where your body stores water including fat the only thing that works for me is keeping a journal of my diet I used to have these seasoning packets with allot of fillers for fajita, chilli, taco so I just made the seasonings myself from 6 or so ingredients that’s all I can say also to consume 2 to 4 litres of water depending on climate of course

I'm not sure if there is a right answer to this question.

If you are bulking + eating carbs you are gonna be more bloated than usual, there's nothing you can do about it. Don't worry about your face when bulking, just put on the muscle mass and then cut back down to low BF.

Carbs to avoid: Bread, Processed Foods,

Good Carbs: Fruit + Veggies (Banana, Apple, Sweet Potatoes, Gold Potatoes, Blueberry, Carrots, Celery..etc)

Sweet potatoes I feel are by far the best carb source with slow releasing carbs throughout the day also oatmeal

Yeah love me some sweet potatoes. Great for beta-carotene (skin glow) and they taste pretty good. Easy to get 2-300 calories of healthy carbs per day with sweet potatoes.

go low carb (under 100 grams a day) 3 days, then have a carb refeed, then 2 more days low carb, then a cheat/refeed day with unlimited carbs
