Edges of photos stretch and elongate. Photos in darkness even out skin colour. Lens distortion makes ears disappear and makes everything in the middle look bigger.

Negative head tilt makes canthal tilt increase and eyebrows lower but increases perceived midface length. It also often makes tear troughs look deeper, since usually light is above us. Positive head tilt decreases perceived midface length and chin height but decreases canthal tilt. It makes eyebrows look higher. Head tilt can be approximated from photo by whether nostrils are showing or not.

If light is in front of and above you, you get frontal hollow cheeks. If the light is coming from above you and to the side behind you, you get masseter hollow cheeks. If the light is coming from behind you, you get buccinator hollow cheeks.

Opening mouth more increases hollowness. Sucking inwards increases hollowness (hence intense tongue pressure increases hollowness). Chewing increases masseter hollow cheeks. Jutting should increase them all.

Positive head tilt from the side increases jawline sharpness, whereas negative head tilt can even cause double chins. Rotating head can decrease sharpness, as well as distracting from it due to sternocleidomastoid flexing. Jutting is important in these positions.

Lighting from above and to the side-front of the head massively increases sharpness. Lighting, if not as high, could potentially differentiate mandible from hyoid.

Note that tongue sucking, whether in the form of mewing or another form, raises hyoid.

Lighting from (bit to front)-side when facing camera massively increases perceived tear troughs.

For ¾, can raise camera a bit to get good ogee curve.

You aren't going to get a more thorough answer than this so rep and mark as solution pls.
