What's the current state of eye lightening techniques?

Heard some were in trial runs a while ago, but never heard any new news.
I've seen some previous posts here a while ago about people going to Turkey for eye lightening with lasers.
However, many people here were skeptical and saw problems with it (especially if you start out with darker eyes).

So as of now, what's the current state of eye lightening techniques and is there any viable options right now?

Eventually science will let us morph our bodies in almost any way we want (obviously what's physically possible).
Eye color shouldn't be too hard in comparison, and would probably have a huge demand, which means huge amounts of money.

The farthest you could go would be from darkbrown to hazel but blue or green is impossible

can grey eyes be turned light blue? grey eyes have the least pigment but are darksih so would storma even help?
