Coastal finns descend from a mixture of swedes and inland finns. That's why they look better and healthier.

The ones living inland are severely inbred.

The same phenomena is seen in the UK - coastal areas have genetically healthier mixtures of people. They are a mix of Celts, Brits, Norwegians, Danes and French to a small degree. Inland people are generally the stereotypical toothless fat brits and chavs seen in meme pictures who have nothing but breton ancestry from their nearby village going back countless generations.

Not due to any fault of their own - but because you were forced to marry the woman or man next to you for about 2000 years unless you owned a horse to travel further. That leads to some pretty awful genetic combinations.
