not talking about lifting itself but having a gym membership and going to a gym is cope.

you can build your peak natty physique at home easily with a buncha weights and a pull up bar. most people never really build a lot of muscle anyway and just fuck around in the gym so in that case it's an even bigger waste of time/money.

I predict that a lot of gyms will go bankrupt in the coming years because people are gonna realize you don't need a lot of bullshit equipment to build muscle and they barely made gains anyway.

gyms are a 2010s fad srs.

barbell > everything else.
Except for diamond push-ups, they activate the triceps best.

wrong brah.
It's hard to get motivated at home. When you are in the gym you're there to work out. You can get easily distracted at home

this + why bother trying to come up with some elaborate calisthenics routine when you can do the same but better and easier in the gym

making a basic homegym thats nowhere as good as a commercial one, without dumbells, will cost me around 3000 dollars. Since I am forever student, I can have a gym membership for 100 dollars/year.

Seems like a nobrainer to go to the gym. There's even a small swimming pool included :lul: but never use it

I set up my home gym for $2400CAD during the beginning of covid.

Not everyone can afford a good home gym so gym membership is a good choice for many people

Going to the gym >>>>> Home workout.

Also you are ignoring that you will need to have an empty room for gym equipment and invest a large amout of money into the equipment you need.

Going to the gym is so much better then working out at home.
