When comparing two peoples height in say a photo the perception of height seems to start ar the shorter persons height minus 1 foot

for example if you look at a photo of a 5ft guy next to a 6ft guys the 6ft guy look twice as tall this is because I think our brains or maybe just my brain tends the filter out the height below 4 ft short thread but I want to know if you guys also experience this like to me a 6ft guys look like twice as tall as a 5ft guy

i think its because you imagine the average height (5'9) so you're adding and subtracting from that. the 6'0 guy will be seen as 3 inches above 5'9 vs the 5'0 guy being seen as 9 inches below 5'9 so thats why its so drastic
