When I look in the mirror...

I sometimes feel like I am legit quite good looking and other times I feel extremly subhuman.
Anyone has this too?
And it's not that I have BDD or some shit, my face just looks so different depending on things like:
Daytime
Lighting
Different mirrors
How hair is
Skin quality
How far I'm standing from the mirror
Which cloth I wear
...

Ex) long, lack of bone midfaces will look decent in a shaded lighting close up mirrior.. but will look truly dogshit im 45 deg angle front ligthing with the mirrior far away...

Good- ideal ratios w/ good bones will look good @ any distance/ lighting

Op aint talking about candids.. candids = not doing the right expression/ not proper posture.. its a different story when thr lighting and distance of mirrior alone makes you look subhuman

I know this thread I made isnt exactly what u are talking about op, but yes indoor lighting vs outdoor lighting makes me look like a totally different person. For example with my bathroom lighting it's like directly overhead so my nasolabial folds and undereye bags are more apparent yet outside where the lighting is more coming from everywhere I look way way better and more like my true self.

Also like indoor mall lighting makes me wanna kill myself, esp dressing room lighting. Also some shitty mirrors are distorted

And how quickly you go from thinking u are the ugliest subhuman ever and want to stay inside for the rest of ur life to thinking ur actually better looking than 99% of the men u see in ur proximity and feel on top of the world. I shaved my facial hair just 3 days ago and looked in the mirror...

Yeah 100%, it's so crazy how depended my complete mood is on the way I look. Don't really think it's a narcy trait, since narcys probably always feel like they are good looking. I think it's more being hyper-aware of yourself and neuroticism. Still, for me one goal with looksmaxxing is to still look decent even under the worst circumstances to not have these kind of mental breakdowns sometimes
