Not age, but the position you're in. For example, you could be 25 yet barely softmaxxed, so it'd be retarded to immediately do surgery.

have a job where do can take time off for recovery
having familiy members or friends to help you during recovery (depends on the surgery)
if recovery is really ez, you could try to move city or smth so that people notice the radical changes less
you have to be pretty much softmaxxed too but not necessary 100% either
