Physically unattractive people are seen as lower on the food chain

Obviously when they try to LARP as something they’re not, people will be innately disgusted

It depends. Those who are good-looking are congruous with their attitude, those who are not less so, of course. But you have to be ugly for real, not only unattractive. And if you are actually confident, i.e. also socially proactive you can get away with it, partly
