Nah ramus widening is a thing, however if your gonial angle is too high you might as well get jaw angle implants once it’s healed up for width + ramus length

If it doesn’t get too high after the maxillary downgrafting then you’re pretty good. SFS cases have by far the easiest bimax ascensions since their face is already wide and well built.

You should calculate your fwhr and midface ratio to see if you have sfs. If at first glance it visibly looks way too short and wide then you most likely have it. I had sfs and my teeth also didn’t touch in resting position and also had an overbite, bimax fixed that
