I asked “why does it taste like bread then?” and he gave me the most bs response of all time. I couldn’t repeat it because of how senseless it was.

I am a former Catholic Christian, practiced for 10+ years. The only sense of clarity I found in my life was realizing I didn’t need a book to tell me what’s right and wrong. I just know. My morals are always improving and I promise you that REAL LIFE gets better when you focus on making life awesome. Focusing on your afterlife is pointless and I just wish other people, religious or not, spent more time worrying about their life NOW. Religion sent me down into a hole of depression and self-disgust, when in actuality I was a normal kid. Like come one, you are telling me jerking off is a sin? It’s so stupid.

Anyways, thanks for at least trying, so many christian’s are so close minded they won’t even consider atheism. Life wouldn’t be beautiful if it lasted forever remember. And if God exists and he is all powerful, this is wrong and unjust and he would know it. What’s the point of creating animals that have to eat eachother to survive? They don’t even get to go to heaven, they just get mauled alive and spend their last moment of consciousness suffering. I understand your argumentation. But God made all things logically. If you made every creature the best that they can be, they would still evolve and still would slaughter other animals.
