I dropped out of college (community jfl) and I’m not employed. I’m free but at the same time I feel as if I’m completely behind my peers. What do?

Start hanging out with your grandmother more often. Take her out to breakfast/lunch and have movie nights with her. That's what I did at 20.

If you dropped out of community college then its over. Community college is like the lowest level litmus test to see if you have what it takes to do things on time, do your work, etc. Of course if you were really attractive, or had good social connections with high status rich parents, then it wouldnt matter. But if youre going to community college I doubt you have these things.

True but tbh I got bored of community. I was accepted to a state uni but I just wasn’t feeling it.

Damn then its really over. Its not about having a good work ethic or being smart, because i know lots of people that have both of those things and they still work in construction or at a factory or at a grocery store even though theyre 50. There is just a certain set of traits you need to function well in the modern world, one of those is being able to do a whole bunch of useless, worthless, boring shit, like community college or regular college, and put up with all the bullshit that the modern world has. Plus, nowadays with degree inflation, you really need a bachelors degree just to be competitive in the job market.

It varies by person but you should in the very least be training for something, in education, or working. if you're doing none of that shit, take a hard look at your life and do something other than LDAR

Either get into real estate (if I have the patience for that shit) or just flow w life. All that career shit just seems dull atm.

First you should plan out what you even want for your life

what is your personality?

What type of income would you want to have?

what type of routine?

Then figure out what type of job you would be pleased with and that routine to go with it

don’t compare yourself to other 20 year olds

everyone has their own path at their own pace

Not even sure tbh. I gotta retrace all my steps again at this point. I’ve always wanted to be something bigger in the world though ngl. Hopefully I can still scrape up those prospects.

Maybe go to trade school. There are some super niche trades, like elevator mechanic or refrigeration repair, that make 6 figures

Jfl that sounds boring but I get your point. Might consider it.

Another option is going to a ship school where you can eventually become a cargo ship captain and make 7 figures (srs)

Sounds good tbh. My main problem is I’m way too independent. I like doing stuff my own way.

Then again that counteracts the whole point of this thread. I will consider it.

Yep, that’s how it is.

try to analyze your past as well

there is this program called the Self Authoring Suite and I highly recommend it.

it helps with tracing out what type of place you are in life and tracing out where you want to be and how to get there.

As long as you aren’t in debt, made a random girl pregnant, or did a serious fuck up then you can rest assured if you take the proper steps then you can live the life you want.
