We all know that wavy is the mogger hairtype

But between curly and hair, which one is preferable, generally?

If one has curly hair, especially if ethnic, should they to try and straighten it to seem less ethnic and messy?

Or if they have straight hair, should they try to curl it for texture and defintion?

Curly for jbs. And for ethnics. Straight is better if you want to be all rounded and have good bones.

straight and light hair is preferable as base because it's the easiest to adjust to whatever you prefer.

you can't make curls straight without frying your hair in the process, you also can't make dark hair light without affecting the texture, but it's beyond your control so there's no point in worrying about it.

So someone who doesn't have good bone definition should go for curly hair? Why do you say that?

Is a perm worth it for straight dark hair?

curls look better with lighter hair due to highlights mixing in with the texture, if your hair is dark it'll resemble an afro.

this.

Wavy is ideal, and its easier to make straight hair wavy than curly hair wavy. thats the only rationale for my answer really.

and at least with straight you can do curtains if you so desire.

So if someone has dark curly hair they should get highlights and if straight dark hair they should dye it?

Very true. I'm always puzzled why many people get perms, practically giving themselves curly hair. Unless they already have soft, supple hair as base and want to try prettyboymaxxing

highlights look good on almost everyone, and they won't completely fry the texture of your haircut because they'll blend in with the undamaged hairs.

I wouldn't recommend changing the entire color of natural dark hair because it'll make the texture bad.

eubank has dark hair with a lot of highlights for example.

it would look like this if they were sparser.

it's a good look but it doesn't fit everyone, younger girls like it.

I have dark 3a hair, and I'm ethnic as well (jfl), I'll look into highlights
