Other regions might have built empires but no other race colonized the entire globe. And having intelligence or working hard doesn't count for nearly as much as being clever. A man who's clever that hires men who are more intelligent and hard working than him is better than those he hires. A lot of very intelligent people are absolute fools. In 1619 their Asian headquarters in Jakarta served as the center for a massive commercial network connecting Japan, China, India, and Europe.

4. BEFORE the Industrial Revolution Europe ( already controlled 35% of the earth's total land surface. Europe itself only accounts for approximately 6.8 of the earth's total land surface.

In a nutshell, the Industrial Revelution was the result of us dominating the globe. It wasn't the other way around. And us dominating the globe was because of the Crusades, not the black death.

Western Europeans discovered spice from India during their time crusading in the Holy Lands. We were hooked on that shit, from that point forward, and became obsessed with mapping out trade routes to India. Along the way, while mapping those routes out we conquored and colonized. Because of this we became very rich, and THAT'S what led to the Industrial revolution.
