Because things won't get better, but worse. There's no reason to live nihilistically because there was never any point to anything. Accept reality and understand that humans are complex computers that react to input whether it be visual (looks) or audible (the way you speak).

At the end of the day, we're just animals who created an overly complex system of morals for ourselves to follow but the instincts we have never left. Without winners there wouldn't be losers, and winning was falsely promised to everyone as a child despite it not being possible.

Accept that we're all going to die one day, and there is no reason to end it sooner because you only get 1 chance to enjoy the most amount of benefits your circumstances allow before it all goes black.
