Many miscers/BBers/etc. believe in high carbs being bad, making you fat, lowering testosterone, reducing muscle size or creating fatness, aging you, etc.

Many in RP believe sugar/carbs are anti-catabolic, pro thyroid, make you happy/supports the regime of a superior metabolism that is glucose-driven, not fat.

So it's a toss up. Believe RP more, or believe muh miscers/bodybuilding morons? They may build muscle more but does that mean they're healthier exactly?

Many in RP may be less muscular but that's because they don't push themselves really hard because they're wary of oxidative metabolism, aging, stress, etc.

Also with muscle many Peaters believe sugar and thyroid should make you big.

But many in bodybuilding ironically believe thyroid to be catabolic, sugar bad, etc.

So it's an almost equally argumentative side between both Peaters & Bodybuilders.

Peat = sugar, thyroid, androids, masc, supports muscle building, etc. But BBers think sugar/thyroid are bad for muscle and health, so they're both contradictive.

So many muscle dudes swear they are miles ahead of health vs. any basic physique dude who lacks much size to him tho, swearing such.

And some studies correlate muscle with health, although I don't know if that's telling the whole picture on a case-by-case basis of ppl.

Even most of the guys here with good muscle claim they are healthier than guys with less size, or not jacked, or not shredded, or etc.

Like if it's a debate between more muscle = healthy, less muscle = unhealthy so all bigger guys will claim they're healtheir than smaller ones.

get muscles, i use to think it wasn't a halo but it is. If you look like a twink you're actually fucked.

Does that mean it's healthy tho? Just because it's a looks halo doesn't mean it's good for you, look at surgeries gone wrong or dangerous drugs/supps/etc. to looksmax that can backfire. I'm starting to think heaps of "looksmaxxing advice" is often inherently unhealthy from a Ray Peat prism. Sacrificing foods/pleasure, being too "disciplined" or depriving oneself can be destructive.

just don't take roids

It’s different for everyone and that’s fact. Certain phenotypes/genetics respond well to certain types of diets.

High carbs: naso folds and dark circles because of bloat, acne, insulin sensitivity
Low carb: low T, poor thyroid
MODERATE carb, taken mainly before and after workout: perfection

Just lift heavy weights and eat healthy food.

Everything else is nerd shit and should be ignored.

I’ve been eating too many carbs and I’ve noticed this. Will try moderate carb, how many grams would you suggest ?

Some of the most muscular guys don't lift heavy often jfl, just saying to "lift heavy" isn't a fool proof way to get a muscular/jacked physique.

@Orc is a solidly muscular natty who works out mostly with 20 lb. weights as he stated before, which to him should be super light. Reality is some guys lift heavy and they're not that muscular, and some guys are jacked/well built and stick with volume, intensity or supersets.

Just lift and eat, not complicated, look what all the greats did, ate well, trained with intensity, and yeah they were on gear but suprisingly not as much as you would think.

My body has responded absolutely and utterly well to a bulk. My muscles are 10x fuller because of the overload of carbs, my growth has been great, joints lubricated, just feeling and looking big tbh.

Remember, the key to full, big, good-looking muscles is a quadfecta of carbs, protein, water, and creatine. That's it.

Ray Peat turned me from Trucel to Chad in 1 year

the best diet is one that composes mainly of protein/fats

and the only carbs/sugars that you eat are from occasional/seasonal fruits

NEVER EAT VEGETABLES, plants aren’t supposed to be eaten, hence why they have so many anti nutrients
