Does that mean you can eat junk foods and not even meet close to your macros but still lose weight? I heard malnourished people have bloated stomachs but skiny arms and legs, despite barely eating.

yes you can eat junk food that meets your macros and lose weight. its not good for your health but weight loss/gain is all about calories

I don't think it's even worth it. Volume eating is a lot more filling and can be tasty as well

I always thought you'd just end up lower weight but same or barely lower bf?

I don't think the average person has enough muscle to burn as opposed to fat

i mean junk food has protein if you're talking about things like burger etc. if ur not gymcel and u eat junk food in kcal deficit and you don't sit in your chair all day, then you won't lose muscle

if ur gymcel with more muscle mass than avg. then you obv gotta watch out for protein

but im not encouraging anyone to eat shit while losing weight, its very taxing on your system, im just saying "eating good" and "eating clean" arent things necessary for weight loss. weight loss and gain is all about excess energy or lack thereof.

It's lost 40 pounds and am resigned that will never lose this belly fat.

You probably aren't as skinny as you think you are. Once you start reaching 10 and sub-10% bf your abs should be very clearly visible and you shouldn't have much of a big "tummy". "Eating right" will not get you to these levels, but fasting (IT) and a lot of exercise will.

Not only that, but it would most likely be significantly harder due to sub-optimal hormone levels. Especially if you start as very overweight or obese.
