a lot of curries both in south asia and in the diaspora seem to have a very fond view of the imperial british & even try to mold themselves to be culturally british, which is absurdly confusing given the exploitative history between the two groups. even some utterly cucked curries write papers abt gratitude for transferring 'western values'.
oddly enough, there seems to be a huge anti-mughal sentiment (at least online on reddit jfl) in indians, despite them being almost completely racially & culturally south asian after the initial turkic conquest. also they contributed a huge amount of the history of the region + were an insanely successful kingdom, yet in the modern day they are looked upon negatively??
makes literally zero sense
