If a chick is like, "OMG Chad fucked me and dumped me! It's not right! I miss him so much!" this is considered normal chick behavior, and in fact Chad would be considered the villain of the situation, a heartbreaker.
But if a girl dumps a dude and he's upset, people are like, "Damn, you're so weak" or "Damn, you need to get over her," and they disrespect him for getting so attached to her. Or if he gets a crush and becomes obsessed with her, he's considered dangerous, while the same behavior on the part of a girl would be considered harmless, even cute. (A girl I knew, e.g., stalked a dude she was into; she went to his house to see if he was with another girl.)
Yeah, I guess guys are the ones more likely to kill chicks and whatnot, but still, as far as emotional behavior goes, there's a blatant double standard, even though the sexes are supposed to be equal.
Problem is, the sexes AREN'T the same, yet any time it advantages women to treat them as equal, they're allowed to claim that privilege, and demand men not discriminate.
