why are male contestants on dating shows rarely that good looking?

love island, the bachelor, the bachelorette, etc. rarely are the contestants that good looking, theyre usually just fit. they would get rated htn at best here.

for someone to be a "chad" they need to be a borderline supermodel on par with chico, opry and gandy
