Why are my cheek bones more to the side?

I'm fat (almost 30 percent bf) but my cheek bones feel like they're on the sides of my face, how can I tell what my cheek bones are without losing weight? I'm going to gymmaxx this summer so inb4 "lose weight fat fuck"
