I believe it’s mostly for two reasons. One is for political reasons. Many people who dislike Erdogan direct their hate on Turkish people. The second reason is history. This type of hatred is mostly from countries who have negative memories of the Ottoman Empire. “Armenians” could be considered a third category but it’s mostly a mix of the previous reasons. I personally don't hate Turks tho
