Why are unattractive females usually the first to comment on appearance

I have been thinking about this a lot, why do conventionally ugly women always have something to say about others appearance (usually online). Is this like a coping mechanism to them or something? It is extremely rare to find a MTB+ to comment on your looks without being provoked.
