I often go skiing in the Alps. About a month ago, I was in Austria, where I met a really nice guy from Croatia. He told me that he had a bad fall last year and injured his shins badly. The injury was so serious that he couldn’t ski for six months.
He also told me that he doesn’t have shin pain anymore, even though shin pain is a very common problem when skiing. However, he now has a big bump on his shin because of the injury.
We skied together the whole day, and what he told me stayed in my mind. Later, when we were having lunch, he asked me to feel the bump on his shin. The crazy part was that it was actually very big, like a bone growth. His bone had grown about 5 mm, which is pretty insane.
