I've always found it hard to balance eating enough for gains with maintaining myself not getting too fat -- or, in other words, eating according to appetite/gymcelling needs.
If I eat anything I get bloated, or slow metabolism, or feel like shit; poor digestion; slower and heavier feeling; etc. I wanna stay "light footed" and not be too overweight.
Meanwhile, you got shredded Chads who eat whatever they want -- or don't want -- year round and still look better than you by birthright, holding on to their six packs even eating 3,000+ Kcals a day easily. Why can these guys EAT BIG FOOD & look GREAT?
I don't even think "metabolic speed" is a factor, I know thin guys typically eat less but my point is some dudes look great but never seriously bulk, or put on 30 + lbs. of bloat, then have to cut. Meanwhile bulk/cut is pushed, yet how do these bodybuilders never get too fat, eat junk, fuck around? Why only SOME guys need "muh discipline" so strongly?
Steroids? I've gone 6+ month bulks and all I end up with is man boobs, feel like shit, slower, less agile, and my lifts barely go up/muscle mass weakly changes. Meanwhile, fucking Chads and BB'er dudes like above binge on fast food several times a week, yet always have diced stomachs and Godly physiques. But I get bloated on 2,500 Kcals a day @ 200 lbs.
And even if Chads eat little they still usually have good bones/looks even if they never bulk, so it's pretty hopeless if you've bulked and still look small AF.
