Because you need to reproduce and your body wants that. That's the ultimate goal of your body. It is actively fighting against you. Inaction is alien to it. When Liu Bei was kept from the battlefield, his thighs got thick and flabby. Humans aren't meant to be isolated and rotting, they are social creatures. Inaction causes muscular atrophy and disrupts digestion. Rotting in your room leads to your immune system getting vitamin D deficiency, your circadian rhythm is disrupted by lack of sunlight, and many more things.
