I try getting .8 g of protein per pound but everytime I eat like a 500 cal chicken meal (weighed and everything) I literally gain 3 pounds of water weight that sticks vs when I eat 500 cals of chips or something I might be like .3 pounds heavier on the scale. I know protein is important for leanmaxxing but it kinda just makes me wanna do my cut eating nothing but chips since I never gain any water weight eating them.
