Why do I look so ugly in selfieson my phone?

I look normal in the mirror, but when I take a mirror selfie or regular selfie I look subhuman. My eyes look more bludging and my mouth looks more narrower than it actually is. And no it’s not my brain telling me I look good in real life. Am I just ugly or what. How can I cope
