Why do I only want the girls I cant have?

I had multiple chances at getting Sex and a gf, Most were Not Even Bad looking. But I lost interest. Every Single time. I only Chase girls I know I can‘t have, not because of their Looks, but they are just not interested in me or maybe they live too far away or they already are in a relationship.
