The problem is not the smartphone, the problem is that their life SUCKS.
Smartphone is just an outlet for them.
Sadly though, apps like Instagram only serve to further confirm how crappy their life is, so they start saying their phone usage is affecting their mental health
In reality, if it was 20 years ago, they would still be coping with TV, video games and whatever, but their life would be almost just as crappy.
Do you think >HTNS consider their smartphone as the devil??? Imagine posting a picture of your face and getting hundres of likes and simpy comments, sometimes even making BANK from that, how exactly would that fck someone up?
It may just make them arrogant asf, but that's not even a bad thing as they have something to back it up.
