Why do people believe that there is no free will but then believe animals are inherently more innocent then humans?

We are the only species that actively commit suicide, I feel as if that has got something to with us having free will or not.

Don't group me with pussies who rope.
We are not the same.

Sentience is a spectrum. Higher sentience = higher perceived responsibility

This means that human behavior is more easily influenced by very basic environmental stimuli (reading a collection of scribbles on a piece of paper—words—can significantly affect behavior for the entire life of an individual). This is obviously determined by the genes of the individual, though.

Nope, its our environment. In the past, when we still lived in nature, humans didn't commit suicide

Why is this likely?
Because you're arguing that modern social conditions are the causal factor behind suicide, but depression (and suicide) have hereditary correlations.

And you haven't provided arguments for the specific factors in modern society that lead to suicide. Primitive humans still lived in social groupings.

Modern lifestyle and nutrition are, not social groupings. Social groupings are good for your mental health
