Why do people care so much about these dumbass animals? Dogs are basically as low IQ as they get and most have zero loyalty despite what people think. Jfl they would abondon you for a piece of steak. Cats are even less loyal.

There are people who literally cry when their pet dog or cat dies like srsly bro my dad didn't even cry when his father died. But then he's a bastard so I dunno.

There is something strange in the west about peoples obsession with pets. Of course there arent many pets that arent cute and furry, I think thats one big element. Especially for women, these pets that are cute and energetic trigger some reaction similar to being around a baby or kids. But also people without a really well established social circle, who dont always have friends to spend time with, are going to spend most of their free time with their pets. So they spend more time with, and taking care of, their dog than any person in their life
