The difference between theft and conquest is simple,

Theft usually means a violation of law in that particular land as an individual.

Conquest on the other hand isnt as individualized as theft since its a dispute between different entire opposing cultures who do not follow the same "laws/rules" as the other. Therefore, engaging in a "forceful" competition with the inhabitants of that land to secure political control over it and winning is not considered theft but rather conquest.

The only formal conquest was of Mexico, at least they gave some money to them. It was so formal how the Americans cheated the native Americans in land deals. Honestly the only outcome possible for the “discovery of North America” is probably the one that happened.

Native Americans didn’t have the domesticated animals to be able to create a huge civilization. Those animals were brought over on boats from the eastern countries.

As for the slaughter of the Native American people, a lot of people don’t know much about that. Most normal people think the white settlers that came over just killed them all, but that’s simply not true. Over 85% of all the Natives that died were due to illness. This was bound to happen whenever the two halves of the world met anyways because they didn’t have immunity to each other’s germs. The Native Americans were doomed from the beginning simply because of their immune systems.
