Why do ppl hate on ppl/ul??

cus ppl ( assuming push first ) and ul are both not the most efficient, cus for ppl certain things like ur deadlifts from pull day will make ur leg day not as good, and for ul its just a overall time waster and again will make certain muscles not be hit as well ( like if u hit shoulders first, ur chest wont be hit as good cus ur front delts r sore ), a good alternative can be something like doing pull push legs, with a rest on the 4th day, and making sure ur exercises wont interfere with whatever you hit the following day or two

Cause it's more performance biased. Why do you think so many powerlifters follow a PPL program? It's not optimized for hypertrophy in my opinion and there aren't a lot of pro bodybuilders who train like that.

Split doesn’t really matter, as long as your getting atleast 2x frequency and your split is programmed in a way that suits how your body recovers, the split your running is going to make a very minimal difference on hypertrophy.
