Why do pull exercises help so much with arm wrestling

Like I remember when I was so obsessed with arm wrestling, I did all these cope arm wrestling exercises. Then recently my pull strength has significantly increased and I arm wrestled someone and I beat them with ease when I was struggling against them over the summer.

Lots of pulling movements are performed with pronated arm. Strong pronator muscles guarantee victory in arm wrestling
