Why do surgeons always design wraparound jaw implants where the jaw is wider than the cheekbones? (Yaremchuk result)

for instance this Yaremchuk wraparound jaw implant result:

the jaw is wider than the cheekbones, but on the CT design the implant does not quite reach the edge of the malar arch. so why does the soft tissue extend past the soft tissue of the zygomatic arch?

and also why don't surgeons design jaw implants to be noticeable smaller than the bizygomatic width, when every plastic surgery textbook says that the ideal bizygo/bigonial ratio is around 0.7-0.9?

The result looks great

1) if the guy is paying thousands for it, he wants results, so the design ends up being too much

2) they dont realize that less is more and wraparound should be for changing subtle shapes of the jaw aka lack of looks knowleage

btw, how much is the custom wraparound from him?

Imagine the masseter on top of the gonion and you get your missing withd on the ct

yes but then that would decrease es ratio, which for some people would be a huge looksmin

I dont think that wraparounds should be subtle. his one wasnt and the result looks good imo

and not too sure how much wraparound costs from him

jaw width is like one of the least important aspects of a good lower third, but people act as if it was end all be all
