Why do we view dark eyes as intimidating even tho men are more likely to have light eyes?

Men are more likely to be blue eyed than women but studies show people view brown eyed men as more intimidating, dominant etc

I’ve experienced this once, my friends at school would say I looked scary because of how dark my eyes are
