Why does 6’1 seem so much taller than 5’11

Whenever I stand next to someone who is 6’1 or even just a strong 6 foot I feel like a complete dwarf. So small and puny. What causes this ? 2 inches isn’t that big a difference

It doesn't. Both are manlet. We'd look the same height-wise in pics.

We don't see physical reality, we see a model of reality that our brain happens to believe is most useful.


Our brains need to be able to see SMV and social hierarchy more than height. So our brain exaggerates the feelings.
