Why does everyone say non-NT instead of ND?

The opposite of being neurotypical is being neurodivergent. So why does everyone on the forum always talk about non-neurotypical (non-NT) instead of just saying neurodivergent (ND)?

Because the word neurodivergent was created in an attempt to legitimise the condition whereas we all know that being non-NT is not legitimate, it’s a death sentence and abomination.

i think is the middle point, where you can't connect with people but it doesn't necessarily mean you're neurodivergent, you just don't have the social skills I mean
