Why does no one have the tacky homemade banners anymore

I miss when people custom made their own banners, I never see it anymore probably because ppl want it to match their avi. I remember making mine for over 30 mins. Might have to make a new one and hopefully revive the custom profile banner trend.
It was also nice to see the person behind the account
