Exactly what I've been saying, PSL scale is utter bullshit, any form of beauty scale, in fact, is bullshit. People here and anywhere else only rate based on attractiveness and pretend they are rating objectively the person's beauty with their pseudo science

We use 1 through 8 because after 4 standard deviations, which is something like 1 in 32,000, the numbers become essentially meaningless.

Issue is that people are hesitent to give out the highest rating and we end up putting all of the top models in the 7's, which could be anywhere from about 1 in 700 to 1 in 32,000.

You could make a new system with 5 as a centre point moving 5 standard deviations in either direction, and it'd probably be more accurate, but the old system has been around now for so long and become so entrenched to the point nobody really cares.
